I Need Your Help!

The time has come for our church to update its internet presence. Our current site was put together several years ago by a member of our church (he is no longer at our church). The site is WAY out of date—in looks and in content.

Our church has about 115 members. This means that we are not rolling in the dough. However, we are willing to pay a reasonable amount to have our church’s web site to be visually appealing and easy to navigate and update.

Here’s where I need your assistance. Please post a link in the comments section of the blog to your church’s web site. I would like to look at as many of your sites as possible. Please list the web design company that you used and a way to contact them.

I look forward to looking at all of your church web sites!

The Nativity Story

Hollywood doesn’t to the Christian faith many favors. However, I highly recommend seeing The Nativity Story. We took a large group from our church to see the movie on Saturday afternoon. Everyone was very glad that they saw the movie. To be sure, we all know the biblical account of Jesus’ birth—so the story doesn’t have anything “new” in it. So what does this film have to offer a 21st century Christian? The answer is simple: historical perspective.

The film does an excellent job of showing what life in the first century was like. The picture showed their houses, making olive oil, the threat of the Roman, the difficulty of travel, the scarcity of water, etc.

When the moving comes out on DVD our church will definitely get it for our church library.
